AIRTEC has been providing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations; Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO); Contractor Logistics Support; and Flight and Sensor Operations and Training in support of Partner Nations for more than two decades, both as a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) prime and subcontract holder.

Aligned with U.S. regional security initiatives to support allies and address common security challenges, AIRTEC has been at the forefront of helping to get fleets airworthy within many Areas of Responsibility (AOR) with a mission priority for interagency and international partners to more effectively counter transnational illegal activities.

  • Runway/Tarmac Resurfacing
  • Fire Suppression System Rehabilitation
  • Flood Mitigation
  • Hangar South-Side Refurbishment

The customer required urgent infrastructure upgrades at a hangar facility after multiple safety and operational issues began impacting daily operations. Key problems included recurring hangar flooding during heavy rain, which affected equipment, work areas, and overall performance; along with an obsolete and inoperable fire suppression system that posed a significant safety risk. The facility also showed advanced pavement deterioration on the tarmac and required structural repairs to the hangar floor and building components. AIRTEC was selected to conduct engineering assessments and deliver phased rehabilitation solutions, allowing critical infrastructure improvements to be completed while maintaining uninterrupted aviation operations.

The AIRTEC team quickly demonstrated strong technical expertise, responsiveness, and disciplined project management. Early engineering assessments and successful execution revealed additional infrastructure challenges, leading to expanded work scopes to address the mission-critical operational and safety issues. The team’s performance and proactive problem‑solving approach established AIRTEC as a trusted partner in ongoing modernization and long‑term sustainment initiatives.

To support specialized technical requirements, AIRTEC partnered with experienced regional subcontractors selected for their expertise and local execution capability. These teams supported key efforts including risk mitigation, structural improvements, system modernization, and safety upgrades. By integrating trusted local partners with centralized program oversight, AIRTEC ensured efficient execution while maintaining consistent quality and control across all work scopes.

The team successfully completed these comprehensive infrastructure modernization projects that addressed multiple critical system upgrades. The effort significantly reduced water intrusion risks through major roof repairs and upgraded drainage, restoring structural integrity and protecting interior operations and equipment. Hangar upgrades also improved safety and functionality through floor repairs, epoxy coatings, and anti‑slip markings, while tarmac resurfacing with geogrid reinforcement extended pavement life and minimized future cracking. The rehabilitation of an obsolete fire suppression system restored reliable fire protection for active aviation programs, strengthening overall facility safety.

All work was executed through disciplined planning and stakeholder coordination, allowing milestones to be delivered on schedule while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. By combining engineering expertise, aviation operational insight, and structured project management, the AIRTEC team delivered critical, high‑quality improvements that enhance safety, operational reliability, and long‑term resilience, ensuring the facility can sustain current missions while supporting future growth.
