Corporate Responsibility

At AIRTEC, we understand that true success takes flight by giving back and supporting local and global initiatives that are larger than ourselves. As we continuously work hard to accomplish goals and support critical airborne missions, it’s important to stay connected and remember our greater purpose to make this world a better, safer place to live – now and for future generations.

We do this by focusing on four areas of responsibility including community connection, military veteran support, building the workforce, and sustainability in operations. These are part of the fabric of our company’s core values and advancing missions that truly matter and make a difference.

Community Connection & Outreach

Sustainability in Our Operations

As a company that supports global scientific research and missions to protect natural resources, AIRTEC is committed to responsible environmental stewardship by implementing effective mitigations within our business operations. AIRTEC will continue to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact, improve operational resilience, and maintain flight safety. These not only comply with ISO requirements, contractual obligations, and legal regulations but are also part of our commitment to safety, quality, and preserving and protecting the world in which we live.

Below are a few examples of how we maintain sustainable operations in energy efficiency, waste reduction, logistics, and flight operations:

  • HAZMAT – Updated processes, including safe in-house defueling.
  • Recycling – Comprehensive recycling initiatives, including jet fuel handling and aircraft materials.
  • Waste Segregation – Strict waste stream segregation (metal, batteries, hazardous waste, general refuse).
  • Fluid Containment – Certified containment mats and drip pans used during fueling and maintenance. Fluids are captured at the source and transferred into approved containers preventing contamination of soil and local water systems.
  • Reduced Carbon Footprint  – Optimized flight paths, ground operations including regular maintenance to reduce fuel burn, and carbon-conscious logistics planning for parts/supply shipments for emissions reduction.
  • Resource Conservation – Facility-wide LED lighting use, water conservation programs implemented, hangar and office doors remain closed during extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
  • Equipment Protection – Engine, pitot, and static covers protect sensitive openings from moisture, dust, and icing.
  • Reusable – Cleaning materials to reduce waste generation.

AIRTEC has been supporting the critical missions of defense, federal government, and commercial customers globally for more than 30 years. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives and organizations that are part of a distinct heritage and make our communities’ thriving places to live and work. Giving back as we continue to make meaningful contributions in global missions remains an important part of our corporate responsibility and values. Through investing in people, places, and possibilities, we’re shaping a future where everyone can soar to new heights.
