AIRtec’s BT-67 is an all-weather, FAR Part 25 approved Douglas DC-3 with PT6A-67R turboprop engines, and 5-bladed Hartzell reversing propellers. Its modernized cockpit design features advanced avionics, including autopilot, weather radar, TAWS, TCAS ll, and long-range communications. Modified aircraft systems include the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The spacious cabin boasts 42’X7’X6.5’ allowing 1225 cubic feet of available space for project related equipment and personnel. The DC-3 platform allows the latest in AESA TM antennas to be mounted in various locations on the aircraft to include nose mounts, belly mounts, and large side panel array mounts. The aircraft’s more than 10-hour endurance provides the ability to position over 800nm from fuel for several hours of TM/FTS support.
