AIRTEC deploys a team of experts to Australia and Samoa to perform equipment system upgrades to King Air 200 and King Air B200 aircraft platforms including the latest high-performance, multi-sensor electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) imaging system designed for demanding airborne missions. Supporting one of our aviation industry partners, we quickly had our technicians in place to support upgrades before functional test flights in Sydney, Australia and then in Samoa working around their flight schedules to minimize downtime.

The AIRTEC team had the knowledge required due to the initial integration of camera sensor systems which included network configurations, wiring, as well as certifications for other structural engineering requirements for antenna, mounts, and electrical load analysis. The team worked around unexpected equipment logistics delays and supported missions at various locations as needed. This project was successful due to the knowledge and expertise of our team and excellent working relationships with our mission partners.

These specially modified aircraft can be used in military, scientific, and commercial critical missions, with this fleet supporting the monitoring of partner nation fisheries. Aircraft play a vital role in monitoring fisheries, especially over vast ocean areas where traditional patrol methods are limited. Equipped with advanced sensors and cameras, they can patrol large maritime zones to detect illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities. They can identify vessels, monitor fishing gear use, and ensure compliance with regulations. This surveillance helps with enforcement of laws. Aircraft can also collect data on ocean conditions, fish stock movements, and habitat health, supporting sustainable fisheries management and scientific research. Joint efforts between countries or organizations like Regional Fisheries Management Organizations (RFMOs), help enforce international agreements and protect shared resources.

As an industry leader in global airborne solutions, AIRTEC continues to provide aviation expertise and partners with some of the world’s leading aviation and technology organizations to provide full life cycle, integrated platform solutions and cutting-edge capabilities. AIRTEC specializes in supporting critical, urgent missions with rapid deployment and sustainment. We are proud to be a part of this mission collaboration and are committed to providing solutions that solve important, global challenges.
